The Hope Center
We are a non-profit Christian outreach that ministers to Butte County and the surrounding communities. We are based out of Oroville, CA, working to help families through many problems of poverty, starting with food distribution.
The Paradise Hope Center
Even before the Camp Fire was out the Hope Center was asked by the county to get involved with the needs of those streaming back to the Ridge. At first we gave out particle masks, shovels and gloves for those going to sift through what was left of their homes. Now days we help with food scarcity, counseling, drinking water and more, with an eye toward housing solutions.
We are now connecting volunteer groups with big needs in the community. Principally, that is fast becoming home owners who have to clear the land after FEMA has accomplished a clean lot, getting ready for contractors to rebuild.
